Herbal First Aid with Yahna Tullis, Aug 19, 4 - 6 pm

This is a comprehensive workshop on herbal first aid and seeks to equip individuals with the knowledge on how to provide immediate medical care for a wide range of conditions from cuts, scrapes, stomach aches, broken bones, and even gunshot wounds. The information presented in this workshop is not intended to replace medical care from a medical doctor. Participants will learn how to make a comfrey poultice and yarrow and cayenne hemostatic powder through a demonstration, and will make and take home a calendula wound wash, and lemon balm simple tincture.

Yahna Tullis is dedicated to uplifting the community with products and services created with divine intention and guided by God & her ancestors. She wears many hats as an herbalist with training from Sacred Vibes Apothecary, a certified athletic trainer with a B.S. in Athletic Training from the University of Pittsburgh, interdisciplinary artist, and educator. Yahna integrates the knowledge and experiences she has gained through out her studies to curate a holistic healing experience for her community. She believes that healing is a communal effort that should be filled with grace and sweetness and lives by the motto “let’s heal together”.
