Seedlings are available for pick-up only at our farm and plant sales in the Pioneer Valley from mid to late-May (Grower 12-pack plugs are ready for mid-May). We DO NOT SHIP seedlings at this time (except for 12-pack plugs - see below for more info). Please do not order if you cannot pick up within that time frame. Rue has been used since ancient times in many different ways including as a seasoning, medicine and as a protection plant against the plague. This article by Mother Earth Gardener has an interesting write up about some of its historical and current uses.
Rue is known for occasionally causing contact dermatitis - especially if you are handling the plant in hot sunny weather. We recommend handling with gloves if you are wanting to be cautious.
