Toddlers take in and relate to the world through their senses. In this parent/child workshop, toddlers will explore herbs through color, smell and texture. Adults will get a framework for how to help their child connect safely and respectfully with all plants. After exploring, we’ll pot up a plant that the child can take home to care for.   Recommended for 18 months to 3 years.

Castle O'Neill supports parents and schools in raising resilient, joyful children. Growing up in the Virginia Blue Ridge mountains, she developed a connection to plants that deepened into a life of growing organic food and herbs with her family and with the children she worked with as a Montessori teacher and school leader. As a teacher trainer and parent educator, Castle shares activities and mindsets that help young children fall in love with natural world and nurture a vision of hope. Castle presents workshops at schools and conferences throughout the US and works as parent and school coach and consultant. The mother of three adults and grandmother of a toddler, she lives in Western MA with her husband, turtle and a very large vegetable garden.
