Intro to Radical Aliveness

Weekend Workshop | March 6 - 8 in Montague, MA

We live in an increasingly polarized world. A world where neighbors with different perspectives than us can feel like the enemy. Where co-workers who voted for “the other guy” are written off as ignorant. Where family gatherings can quickly become divisive.

This is not about ignoring the impacts of certain actions; it is about creating connection at a time when we are often taught to separate. Separate from the other, separate from nature, separate from ourselves.

Radical Aliveness is about coming home to ourselves. It’s about witnessing the humanity in others and being willing to be changed by our encounters. It’s learning how we all have been conditioned in certain ways based on our culture, our family, our teachers and others.

We can learn so much when we take the time to deeply listen to the sensations arising in our bodies. Paired with an exploration of our complex cultural frameworks, we can greatly expand our capacity to engage with all of life. In Radical Aliveness, we call this the “self as instrument.”

This weekend training is for those who are pulled to deepen their self-awareness, grow their relational capacity, and learn to live from grounded presence amid complexity and diverse perspectives.

Over the weekend, participants will engage the principles and practices of Radical Aliveness through dynamic experiential exercises, individual and group somatic processes and teachings to support integration and application.

In Radical Aliveness, we work with what emerges in the group as a shared field of awareness. Participants practice tracking their own internal experience while staying connected to the collective process, noticing how meaning, assumptions, and action arise through relationship. By allowing ourselves to be guided by what is present, we begin to move with greater choice, responsibility, and responsiveness.

Radical Aliveness principles we will work with include:

  • Knowing you don’t know
  • A non shaming heart and attitude
  • Honoring multiple perspectives
  • Welcoming what is present
  • Being willing to be changed
  • Do your part
  • Acknowledge impact

Participants can expect to leave with a deeper relationship to their own embodied awareness, increased capacity to stay present in group settings, and practical tools for engaging difference and complexity with greater clarity and care.
