Creating an oxymel for turbulent times. A workshop especially for liminal and marginalized bodies & people who want to feel more secure in an unstable world. Folx who want to care for themselves more deeply. We will use fresh, organic herbs - for example: monarda fistulosa, thyme, chamomile, calendula, oregano, etc. to infuse a vinegar and honey mixture (oxymel) with plant material that will be calming, adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory so we will be ready to thrive in the days to come.

About Kerrita Mayfield:
i am a seeker and teacher. i am an African-American southern woman who does permaculture gardening on a little over an acre in Holyoke. i am particularly interested in exploring how the land, and herbs, help support people on the margins to sustain our intergenerational practices of care and community.

All workshops are held at our farm at 119 Old Sunderland Rd, Montague, MA. Workshops are rain or shine and are outdoors on grass with some uneven terrain. We have a covered location if it is pouring rain. If it is very bad weather we may cancel or postpone. When you sign up provide an email address for us to contact you in case of a last minute cancellation or delay.  There is an rustic composting toilet available.

Please register in advance for classes and email us with any questions. Workshop materials are included in the class fee. We believe that education should be accessible, while also compensating our teachers fairly. Please be in touch by email if you need a sliding pay scale.
